Winter Wonderland Escapades, Hemu Village

Hemu Village is a small village situated in Kanas Nature Reserve in Altay, northern Xinjiang. It is the most remote and largest of the three habitats of the Tuvas, an ethnic group who still live a simple, ancient lifestyle by grazing animals and hunting. It has been voted by a travel magazine as one of the five most beautiful villages in China. The scenery during winter is exceptionally beautiful. The entire experience is enhanced by the beautiful rustic surroundings that are shrouded in a thick veil of white fluffy soft snow.
