Salmon Arm, BC is not only the economic hub of the Shuswap Lake region, but also a year-round tourist destination. Every autumn, the Adams River in Salmon Arm witnesses the spectacular scene of sockeye salmon migration: tens of thousands of bright red salmon flood into the Adams River valley, crowding the riverbed and turning the river blood-red; the Adams River appears as if weeping blood, a poignant and magnificent spectacle that spreads for kilometers in the water!
