The 60-foot-high Westgate (Pic 3) on the city wall is the largest existing city gate in England. It was built with rubble around 1379 and is the last survivor of Canterbury's seven medieval gates. It is very spectacular and beautiful (Pic 4). 🍀St. Augustine's Abbey was built in 1500, but was gradually demolished after 1538.
