Visiting Thousand Islands in Jakarta

“Kepulauan Seribu” means Thousand Islands, the name given to the many tropical islands scattered in the Bay of Jakarta.
However it is said that there are exactly 110 islands only, that encompasses the Pulau Seribu National Marine Park in the province of Jakarta.
This cluster of islands is a pretty great getaway to top up your Vitamin Sea and these islands ranges from a mere half-hour to a three hours’ boat ride from the north coast of the capital city.
My Indonesian friends, Malaysian close friends and I chartered a private boat from Tangerang fishing village to three of the islands - Pulau Payung, Pulau Ayer and Pulau Payung Kecil and had an amazing time there… (it was fascinating seeing how murky swamp water from the fishing village in the swamps eventually change to be crystal clear water )

Breakfast at the hotel reservation is mandatory for me for my summer holiday. In this occasion, this is one of my best breakfast buffet I have ever had.
I booked the hotel room include breakfast in Kempinski Hotel Jakarta as I already know that the buffet will be quoted fancy and has a lot of menu. They serve a lot of both traditional, Asian food and even western food provided.
This is unusual as I had sushi and onigiri for my breakfast haha. But since they are serving it, I won't take any regret not to eating sushi by the reputable chef. They also provide fresh fruit juice. This is the best!
No doubt for the quality of service. They are all excellent and you will be in the right hand for asking assistance. I highly recommend you to have the breakkie buffet at this hotel.

Fine dining in Jakarta ✨
There's just something about dining against the backdrop of city lights at night. The ambiance and decor of the restaurant were simply gorgeous.
As for the food, I opted for the beef carpaccio. While it was slightly firmer with a hint of frozen texture in the meat, the other ingredients on the plate complemented the dish quite well. The presentation of all the dishes was balanced, neither overwhelming nor inadequate.
The service was faultless, with every staff member exuding warmth and hospitality. The server went above and beyond by offering recommendations on the most photogenic drink options, and they were spot-on. It was a delightful dining experience overall.

6 star hotel stay experience!! ✨
From the airport pick-up to my arrival at Park Hyatt Jakarta, I was greeted with excellence! The staff knew my name and wore genuine smiles - I was amazed!
The spacious rooms accommodated my request for a quiet, non-train track view, which I appreciated as a light sleeper. Although the absence of Le Labo products was a minor disappointment, the front desk and housekeeping quickly resolved it with remarkable efficiency.
The outdoor-indoor pool was an oasis of relaxation with its temperature-controlled setting. The views of the city, both day and night, offered a blissful escape from Jakarta's hustle and bustle. particularly enjoyed the jacuzzi, steam room, and sauna. Sarawsti kindly guided me through the facilities, providing insightful explanations about the changing room and gym amenities.
The aesthetically pleasing breakfast delighted my eyes and tasted good. The service was genuine, and the food was satisfying. Dinner at The Dining Room was also quite good.
What truly sets this hotel apart is its exceptional service, surpassing any other hotel l've experienced, not only in Jakarta but in my travels. Park Hyatt Jakarta has earned a top spot on my list of favorite hotels.

Upon arrival at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, it will take about 1 hour airport transfer to MO Jakarta. The journey might take longer because of traffic so please visit the toilet before boarding. I got assigned to a lovely room and it is such a large room. I love the bathtub, feel so inviting and I love to soak in bathtub. The feeling is different from soaking at home. MO Jakarta has a great location and also nearby a train station. Both facilities and amenities at this hotel is fully equipped. I hope to come back soon.

Nice place to enjoy the city, there is many chair to sit. We can play with pigeons around the park. Some people practice music at the weekend, also sometimes also pet community gather there.
You can park at the side or street around the park. There also coffee seller with bike arround the oark thatbyou can order, so you can enjoy coffee at park. Good place to take child to play in this park.

Grand Indonesia Shopping Mall
Grand Indonesia Mall is the largest shopping mall in Central Jakarta, the second largest in Jakarta after Kelapa Gading Mall. This mall is one of many people's favorite places to visit, especially for family. There are 7 floors, and many tenants are good brands. You can find many fashion items, foods, some of luxury brands, and this is the most important: they have Alun-alun store that sells everything with Indonesia speciality. They also have prayer room for Muslims.
The location is very strategic. If you're staying around Bundaran HI, example like in Pullman Jakarta Hotel, Hotel Indonesia-Kempinski, Grand Hyatt Hotel, or Mandarin Oriental Hotel, you can walk directly from your hotel to the mall. If you're coming by public transport, the nearest MRT is Bundaran HI station, and the closest commuter line is Gondangdia station (red line) or Sudirman station (blue line) then take online motorbike taxi to reach the mall.

Had a pleasant staycation in Mulia Hotel Jakarta. It's a five star hotel located in the heart of Jakarta, Senayan. The location is very close to many entertainment spots and business districts. So, it suits for family vacation or business trip.
I could feel the luxurious vibe since entering the lobby. I arrived to the hotel at 14.30 PM, and the check-in proccess was smooth and fast 😸 There was deposit upon check-in, around IDR 1,000,000 by cash or credit card.
I like their spacious rooms with nice sofa and city view. Also, the pool and pool side area were nice too for refreshing in the morning. The breakfast was super delicious. There were various type of menu; Japanese, Western, Indonesian, etc.
The staffs spoke Indonesian and English well, and they were helpful and friendly.

Indonesian Soul Food
During my visit to Jakarta early this year, my friend brought me to Remboelan. They have several branches in Jakarta and i went to the one in Grand Indonesia. It is said to be one of the most famous restaurant in Jakarta! We had to wait for around 10 minutes as the restaurant was full. The staff was friendly and helpful in helping us getting our table.
We ordered their signature ayam penyet, sate ayam, nasi goreng and crispy prawn crackers.
The prawn crackers are so huge and the three of us could not finished it. The sate is delicious and sweet, which tasted different compared to sate in Malaysia. Their nasi goreng and ayam penyet are flavourful.

Butteria is divided into two areas, indoor at the front and semi-outdoor at the back. This place also has a private area on the 2nd floor.
The indoor area looks beautiful with a black and white patterned floor, a green sofa that matches the beige chairs and mirrors on both sides. In this area there are also various choices of croissants and bakery.
While semi-outdoor has a more earthy feel with green plants and hanging pots. The impression of luxury emerges from the chandelier in the middle of the room, but on the other hand, it also includes an industrial feel that is applied to the ceiling.
Butteria's mainstay menu, of course, is the bakery, especially the croissants.

Thing you need to know before visiting Monas

Apart of wanting to learn of it’s history, there are few details that you should know before visiting this place (These were my personal experiences). If you were taking grab like me, it would be better for you to pin the location at Southwest (barat daya) of Monas. From there, there’s a free transportation that can drive you to the entrance side as the walk to the building are quite far. Remember to bring local cash beforehand for buying entrance ticket as they only accept cash and money changer are far from the area. If you planning to go to the top of the building, there’s only one small lift that I think can fit max 6 person and it moves slow. So you might need to wait longer for this. What to expect once you reach the top is, it’s basically just a small area of space where you can see some building (president’s place, the only building that I was impressed by). At the bottom/ ground floor, you’ll be able to see a medium area of national museum. That’s basically what’s there. Not much but it was nice to learn the history of Indonesia.

Oldest department store in Indonesia that currently renovated. Fresh and aesthetic, compared to older look, but still maintaining some historical artefact inside (stone craved diorama, oldest escalator in Indonesia, etc). Very convenience for casual windows shopping and dining. My only complaint is the price. Everything inside this department store is very expensive. I'm very well aware that this is luxurious store, but I'm not really sure if it will keep in business in long term. Maybe it will be better if they offer more affordable products to attract more consumers. #wecreate

Ashta District 8, Upscale luxury mall. Elegant, Top people, Products and Brands from outside. Contemporary Idea because it is used as a photo spot that is very instagramable, it can attract everyone's attention. At the beginning, there were Christmas and New Year events as well as live music in the lower lobby.
Located inside business district with wide space industrial modern look architecture touch elements along with some shopping store and food beverages stall to meet up and hang out during office and after office hours.
