Western Australia Road Trip (3/4)

Duration: 3D 2N Destination: Lancelin sand dunes > pinnacles > Cervantes > guilderton A 4 wheel drive is highly recommended! this road trip although it was the same length as my previous one, only allowed us to visit very little places because of wet weather conditions and a lot of driving. Set off early in the morning to pick up the rental car and headed straight to Lancelin. The white sands and blue skies were really breathtaking. When you are there you got the option of send boarding standing or sitting, and riding the ATV. Warning: certain slopes down the hill are very steep and lead to limestone that can cut you up pretty bad. Also it is very tiring to climb to the top of the hill. but then again, It’s an amazing experience steel. I will next destination was the pinnacles. The pinnacles consist of many rock formations as well as an information Centre within the park. The information Centre is air-conditioned so it provided a great get away from the heat. Also we can choose to walk or drive in the pinnacles. warning: there are no lights so when it gets dark, it’s REALLY DARK. You run the risk of driving off dirt Road if not careful. Based on experience. After that we headed straight to the town of Cervantes. If it were not for the cloudy weather, we could see the sky full of stars because the surroundings was so dark. Unfortunately it was a missed opportunity due to the wet weather conditions… We checked in into our hostel and the next morning we decided to explore around the town. It is a very small town I would say there is nothing much to do other than visit the convenience stores or the town Central where the post office is. But Cervantes is known for their lobster Shack and that was where we went. Lobsters were really fresh and delicious + we got to eat with a seaside view 🤩. They came with a few oysters on the side (all was $100~), I think it was pretty worth it. after the lobster Shack, we did some random hiking where we just found random beaches that we wanted to go to. I don’t specifically remember the names but to me all the beaches look the same 😂 On our last day, I decided that we should go to guilderton where the River meets the ocean. And from the picture you can see that there is a horizontal bank of sand which we are able to walk across and barely managed to get back before the tides rose and cut off our way back 🤣🤣 I’m pretty sure there are more fun things to do up north but time constraints held me back…. Well, it’s up to you guys to plan your own adventure! #mustvisit#vacation#explore#mustdo#passionpassport#beachlife#nationalpark#westernaustralia
