During the Six Dynasties, the celadon in the south of the Yangtze River occupied a very important position in the development of ancient Chinese ceramics. It inherited the achievements of the Han Dynasty ceramics and laid a solid foundation for the prosperity of the Sui and Tang Dynasties. The celadon unearthed in Changzhou during this period has a dense texture and uniform glaze color, especially the appearance of chicken head pots, frog-shaped water basins, and tiger-shaped objects reflecting the forming technology.
