Colmar’s fantastic indoor local market

#bucketlistreboot This 1865 building is an architectural creation by Louis-Michel Blotz who also designed the municipal theatre of Colmar. Located near the Little Venice, this indoor market (completely renovated in 2010), is home to many stalls selling local products, fruit and vegetables and a bar with an amazing terrace, which seems to float on the Lauch River. There is also an outdoor market on Thursdays. This market is more than just the covered like the name says, because it also occupies few more streets around it, with many stalls in the open. The covered part is pretty big with stalls of local producers of various goods - cheese, flowers, meat, fruits and vegetables, ... Also there're several pubs and bistros serving tart flambee and other local specialities. One of them has outdoor seating just by the canal where we had our tart.
