After eight years, I am staying at the Shangri-La Hotel in Chengdu once again, where I discovered the password to the relaxed vibe of the locals. During my few days in Chengdu, I took the time to stay one night at the Shangri-La Hotel with my child. Looking through past albums, my first stay at the Shangri-La Hotel in Chengdu was already eight years ago. It's comfortably laid-back and very relaxing. The relaxed and easy-going vibe of Chengdu can also be found in the old teahouses of Chengdu, where one cup of tea equals an entire afternoon. Shangri-La Chengdu can be said to be a benchmark in the hotel industry of Chengdu, whether it's the service, the offerings, the panda in the family suite, or the touching gesture of secretly printing out a photo of me carrying a basket of vegetables from a school trip in Dali. It's a heartfelt search for Shangri-La. From the Shangri-La in Diqing, Yunnan, to the Shangri-La Hotel in Chengdu, traveling is a journey of comfort from the heart and inner joy. Shangri-La truly is a home on the road. The little friend from the menu was so excited to blend into the room upon entering, really liking it and even acting as a little tour guide to introduce her new home. This feeling is wonderful. In addition to the excellent service, the Shang Palace at Shangri-La Chengdu has always been a benchmark in the catering industry. I happened to catch the spring menu at the Shang Palace Chinese restaurant in March, tasting the toon with chili oil and garlic white meat. The people of Chengdu love toon, which is blended into the classic garlic white meat, oily but not greasy, with a very refreshing taste. The springtime of Sichuan is just a bite away, with the smoothness of the chili oil and garlic, and the freshness of the toon, creating a three-dimensional taste experience. It's also worth mentioning the fried rice at Shang Palace, with each grain separate, soft yet chewy, paired with spring bamboo shoot paste and crab meat cake, which is a surprise for the taste buds. Also, the Leshan tofu pudding and freshly baked croissants for breakfast are so delicious they make you scream, a must-try at Shangri-La Chengdu. There are also various Chengdu snacks, pickled vegetables, Dan Dan noodles, Sichuan dumplings, and water dumplings, offering a relaxed taste experience. What's more worth mentioning is that when the weather is good, you must go to the Deluxe Pavilion to see the cityscape, where you can see the Xiling Snow Mountain in the distance and feel the park city beneath this snow mountain. In the evening, take a walk by the Jinjiang River, where there are bars, cafes, and even internet celebrity live streams, making it very lively. In short, when you come to Chengdu, you must stay at the Shangri-La Chengdu at least once. It's just too good to stay.
