Luodai Ancient Town, the real-life version of Big Fish & Begonia, is a must-visit in Chengdu

I've been longing to visit Luodai Ancient Town for half a year, and finally, with the good weather yesterday, I made the trip! Located in Longquanyi District of Chengdu, the town has been established since the Three Kingdoms period and is the most well-preserved Hakka ancient town in the suburbs of Chengdu. Had I not known better, I would have thought I was in Fujian! Transportation: 1 Take a taxi from Xihé Station on Subway Line 4 to the east gate of Luodai Ancient Town, about 11 kilometers away. 2 It takes about 35 minutes to drive from the city center. 3 Take bus 850 from Chengdu to the China Art Depot Station (for China Art Depot, follow the basic route in reverse). Basic Route: Sifang Tower - Chuanbei Guild Hall - Old Street Upper Street - Guangdong Guild Hall - Blogger Building - Mandarin Duck Lake - Jiangxi Guild Hall - Huguang Guild Hall - Old Street Lower Street Admission: No tickets required, no reservation needed. Blogger Building: The earth building just like the one in Big Fish & Begonia! Super photogenic, here you can experience the most authentic Hakka culture. The entire circular building is a museum, with the first and second floors open to the public, while the third and fourth floors are not yet open. It offers a preliminary understanding of Hakka culture and the origins of Luodai Ancient Town. It's busier on holidays and weekends, so it's recommended to visit on a weekday. Ⅲ Huguang Guild Hall: Also known as the Longquanyi District Museum, I really didn't expect a district-level museum to have relics dating back to the Han Dynasty. The museum covers the archaeological discoveries, protection, and history of the Longquanyi District. It's worth a visit, no reservation is required, and you can enter for free with your ID card. Food: Sadness noodles, Nanchong helmet, mugwort buns, deep-fried glutinous rice cakes, swan eggs, sugar oil pastries, etc.
