The Daci Temple in the bustling center of Chengdu is worth a visit

The Daci Temple in Chengdu is located on the first section of Dongfeng Road in Jinjiang District, next to the Taikoo Li commercial area. It was built between the 3rd and 4th centuries AD and is known as the 'Foremost Jungle of Zhendan'. Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty once bestowed the name 'Imperial Grand Holy Mercy Temple'. It has experienced ups and downs, being destroyed by war several times, and the existing halls were successively rebuilt from the Shunzhi to Tongzhi years of the Qing Dynasty. The Daci Temple in Chengdu was originally built during the Wei and Jin dynasties, flourished in the Tang and Song dynasties, and is known for its long history, profound culture, grand scale, and the emergence of many high monks, traditionally hailed as the 'Foremost Jungle of Zhendan'. The Daci Temple is now open to the public for free, and friends who like it can come and visit when they are in Chengdu.
