5-minute walk to the concert venue! Immersive experience at AC Hotel by Marriott in Phoenix Mountain!

Chengdu Phoenix Mountain Sports Center finally welcomed its hotel partner in 2024 - AC Hotel by Marriott. I felt that AC is more like a 3-4 star boutique hotel in China, so I didn't have high expectations before checking in, but the actual hardware and software were quite good. During the peak check-in period in the afternoon, there were many security guards at the hotel entrance helping to unload luggage, as there seemed to be no bellboy service. The front desk check-in was a bit slow, and there was basically no waiting area in the lobby, with the lobby bar being a consumption-based seating area. • Public Area Facilities: The overall environment of the public area is quite well-designed, especially the several indoor gardens which are staggered and really stand out. The gym equipment is relatively simple, and it is recommended to add more types of bars to the power rack, otherwise it's a waste. The lobby bar and restaurant decorations are quite nice. • Room: This time I stayed in a suite, and the overall decoration was similar to the New World Hotel I stayed at before, with good visual and experiential effects. ✔️ Each room is equipped with a JBL Bluetooth speaker ✔️ The bed linens are comfortable ✔️ The quality of the bath amenities is quite good ✔️ The bathtub is large and reasonably shaped for a stable and comfortable soak ❌ The bath towels are not very good ❌ There is no smart voice control device or semi-automatic toilet ⭕️ Minibar items are uniformly priced at 8 yuan per bottle There are still many details in the hardware that need to be improved, such as the broken indicators on the shower facilities. However, there was no noticeable smell of renovation, which is good! • Service: The price is not particularly cheap, so the service needs to be considered. Overall, it was okay, especially the housekeeping staff and restaurant, which I found to be quite professional. The front desk needs improvement. • Dining: Breakfast is 68 yuan per person and is actually quite good. The variety is not particularly rich, but it has everything you need. The noodle and egg stations are quite tasty (better than some 5-star hotels). After the concert, there are some affordable late-night snacks available. Overall, it was actually quite good. There were surprises despite not having high expectations. If you're tired after watching a concert or a game, you can consider staying here, but there's no special need to check it out otherwise.
