Roman Gardens in Chester

Within the city of Chester, there are multiple connections to the Romans. One of the attractions is the Roman Gardens which were first laid out to the public in 1949. The gardens are free to visit and include information about the history of the gardens and how it has been preserved for the future. During the day, the gardens are lovely to walk around to learn about the history of the city. The gardens can be found within the city centre and can be accessed if you walk on the walls around the city. It is well signposted and close to the amphitheater. It is about a 30 minute walk from Chester train station. There is also a site inside showing what a traditional Roman bath would also look like #england
