Well preserved history at its finest. This 3 storey mansion turned museum features unique architecture, artwork and furnishings that have been expertly maintained. Given the staff are so passionate and knowledgeable, I recommend the guided tour if your schedule allows. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff as well. They had lots of information about the art pieces there and the history of the previous owners. The Driehaus Museum also offers scheduled tours or audio guides to learn more about the Nickerson family history and the restoration work done on the mansion. The elegance and grandeur of the Gilded Age lives on beautifully at the Driehaus Museum.
