Bingshanliang is located at the junction of Chicheng and Guyuan counties in Hebei Province, stretching 39 kilometers from east to west and 40 kilometers from north to south. The main peak has an altitude of 2211 meters and is a rare ancient glacier relic - a glacial erosion planation surface. It provides strong evidence for the glacial activity patterns in western Beijing and has high geological scientific research value. It is also the highest peak in the Bashang area. Bingshanliang was originally named Wuyun Mountain and was a strategic pass heavily guarded by troops throughout history. During the Ming Dynasty, General Liu Ting was besieged at Bingshan and chose to die rather than surrender. To commemorate this hero, people renamed Wuyun Mountain to Bingshan (Soldier Mountain). Later, due to its towering height and the fact that the peak is covered with snow all year round, it was further renamed Bingshan (Ice Mountain), a name that has been passed down to this day. On the north side of the mountain, there is still a platform where Liu Ting trained his soldiers. Along the northern edge of the mountain, there is a stone trough with spring water flowing out, which is said to have been inexhaustible even for Liu Ting's thousands of troops. At the southern end of the main peak, there is a chessboard platform built on a red stone with white patterns, about fifteen square meters in size. The surroundings of the platform are steep and precipitous, described by ancient people as a place where 'even birds find it hard to land, and monkeys struggle to climb.' The stones on the mountain have no roots, and the stones on the peak have no source. Countless strange peaks and rocks seem to have flown in from nowhere, forming layers of dangerous cliffs. There are numerous peculiar rock formations such as the Great Wall of the Ming Dynasty, Toad Rock, Turtle Watching the Sea, Jade Maiden Enjoying the Moon, Lion Rolling the Embroidered Ball, and Hen Laying Eggs. Additionally, the interaction between glacial and wind erosion has created a spectacular stone sea with various bizarre shapes. Bingshanliang is a dazzling pearl on the Bashang grassland, with beautiful scenery and a pleasant climate. It is rich in various trees and wild herbs, making it a tourist destination and a paradise on earth.
