Leisure and relaxation trip: A short note on Chizhou in two days

When it comes to Chizhou, the first thing that comes to mind is Jiuhua Mountain, a Buddhist holy land. However, Pingtian Lake in Chizhou is also quite amazing. If you're looking for a place to relax, I highly recommend it! Travel:🚄 Take the high-speed rail from Shanghai to Chizhou Station in 3.5 hours. Accommodation: Pingtian Peninsula Hotel, a 10-minute drive from Chizhou Station. The hotel offers pick-up and drop-off services, which is very convenient. 1️⃣ Pingtian Lake Sky Road Cycling The first dike is the Pingtian Lake Sky Road recommended by Ms. Hua. It is very close to the hotel. We rented shared bicycles near the hotel. This time, we brought a shared bicycle child seat. It wasn't particularly hot during our visit. Cycling on the Sky Road, with a gentle breeze, the sky and water as one, and the mountains in the distance, we could truly appreciate Li Bai's words, "Water like a single practice, this place is Pingtian". The breathtaking scenery completely relaxed our minds and bodies. It's worth mentioning that there were few people, even during the Mid-Autumn Festival holiday. Recommendation: 5🌟 2️⃣ Wang Hualou Free admission. Cycle to the halfway point of the mountain, the south gate entrance. Another good place with no people. However, there are no shops around, so bring your own water and snacks. The mountain is not very high, not difficult to climb, and offers a panoramic view of Pingtian Lake. Recommendation: 4🌟 3️⃣ Boardwalk to watch the sunset and evening glow At the starting point of the first dike, check the sunset time on the weather app. The sunset and evening glow are just like a movie. Recommendation: 5🌟 4️⃣ Pingtian Lake Cruise A project offered by the hotel. Sit in the boat for half an hour, feeling like you're in a painting. It's both comfortable and poetic. Recommendation: 5🌟 5️⃣ Chizhou Museum Free admission. It is the former site of Chizhou Prefecture Confucianism. The building is an ancient-style imitation ancient building. When we went, it was almost noon, and there was almost no one. We wandered around and felt the historical changes and cultural heritage of Chizhou. Recommendation: 4🌟 Food: 1. Chizhou Four Dishes We ate at this restaurant twice. We especially liked the beef potba and stinky mandarin fish. 2. Huicai Garden Next to the Shangzhi Capital, we ordered a set meal. The price was reasonable and the value for money was high. The Huizhou tender shrimp tasted good, and the children liked it.
