Fairy Mountain of the Alpine Grassland

Fairy Mountain National Forest Park, belonging to the Wuling Mountain Range, is located on the north bank of the Wu River in Wulong District, Chongqing, upstream of the Yangtze River. It is named for its peaks that strikingly resemble a dancing fairy. Together with the Thousand-Mile Wu River Gallery, Furong Cave, Furong River, and the natural bridge cluster, it forms one of Chongqing's top ten tourist attractions, a sightseeing and vacation destination, and is a national 5A-level tourist spot. The park covers an area of 5070 hectares, with an average altitude of 1850 meters and a maximum altitude of 2033 meters. The main attractions of Fairy Mountain include Lion Rock, Fairy Stone, Nine Axes, Sea of Trees, Grasslands, Hou's Villa, Holiday Village, Tent Village, Ba People's Village, and the former site of the Political Department of the Second Route Guerilla Team of the Chongqing Workers' and Peasants' Red Army.
