There is a grand and atmospheric French Gothic church hidden by the Jintang Lake in Zhengxing Town, Bishan, Chongqing. Lourdes Church, also known as Jintang Temple, is located by the Jintang Lake in Jintang Village, Zhengxing Town, Bishan District, Chongqing. It was selected and designed by French missionaries and built in the 16th year of Guangxu in the Qing Dynasty. It is the largest Catholic church in the southwest region and one of the best-preserved Catholic churches. Drive from Bishan City to Lourdes Church, country roads, beautiful trees, simple tile houses, and green and yellow grass set off the church. The church integrates acoustics, optics, and architectural aesthetics.
