They all have beautiful scenery and cultural attractions, and they're not too far away. There's something to see in every season. They're perfect for a weekend hike, a family outing, or a trip with friends. 1️⃣Jinshan Lake, Nanchuan This area has the characteristics of both a basin and the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau. On a sunny day, the lake is a beautiful green. The lake, gorge, forest, and birdsong make it feel like you're walking through a Chinese ink painting. It's so relaxing! Address: Jinshan Lake, Nanchuan, Chongqing Trailhead: Navigate to "Jinfo Mountain Via Ferrata Parking Lot" for the trailhead. 2️⃣Zhang Fei Ancient Path, Beibei This trail has an ancient path along the river, a forest, a waterfall, and a stream. The green scenery is so healing. Walking along the riverside path feels like walking through a painting. On one side are towering trees, and on the other is the green river. Address: Beibei, Chongqing. Navigate to "Zhang Fei Ancient Path." 3️⃣Qiluping Loop, Fuling This trail has a dense forest, an alpine meadow, and a cabin. In summer, you can see the meadow, and in winter, you can see the snow-capped mountains. The cows and sheep grazing leisurely make it feel like you're in western Sichuan. Trailhead: Navigate to "Huaguoshan Farm." 4️⃣Dayuandong, Jiangjin This trail is 1.5 hours by car from the city center. It has a dense pine forest, ancient ruins, a mountain stream and waterfall, and a lake. It feels a bit like Jiuzhaigou. You can also visit Simian Mountain. Address: Jiangjin, Chongqing. Navigate to "Dayuandong National Forest Park." 5️⃣Huangge Ancient Path, Nanshan This trail is known as the "Silk Road" of the mountain city. It's a mature trail that's easy to walk, with beautiful scenery and cultural attractions.
