Beautiful View of Biamsa Temple

#falltrip Likely built by Great Master Doseon near the end of the Unified Silla Period (661 - 935), Biamsa Temple is located about 20 minutes north of Sejong city near Gobok Reservoir. It is usually not a busy place despite its beauty. It's quite pretty in autumn, a time I recommend going. One of the main features of the temple is the guardian (zelkova) tree at the entrance. It is over 850 years old but has seen better days. The locals believe it has predictive power. If the leaves sprout from the lower part to the higher part of the tree, there will be a poor harvest. However, if the leaves grow top-down, it will be a good harvest.
