Minghe Ancient Town

Minghe Ancient Town mainly consists of three long streets: Upper Street, Middle Street, and Lower Street, with Middle Street being the most prosperous. It was once the essence of Minghe, carrying all the glory of the ancient town for a thousand years. Approximately 1500 meters in length, it was historically a bustling commercial area in the north. Since the Song Dynasty, it has been a marketplace, and later on the 1st, 3rd, 5th, and 8th days of the month were market days, making it an important distribution center for agricultural and sideline products in the north. In the early years of the Republic of China, Minghe Ancient Town was an important distribution center for 'three whites' (cotton, white cloth, rice). At that time, there were more than 200 boats moored in the street river. Although the old street today does not have its former prosperity, one can still appreciate the charm of the ancient town.
