Córdoba's only bridge for centuries

Andalusia Tour ~ Córdoba One of my favorite places in Córdoba is the riverbank and the ancient Ponte Romano (Bridge of Rome). We walked to the other side of the Guadalquivir River. Incredibly, the original bridge was built in the 1st century BC and it was the city's only bridge until the 20th century. Of course, it has been rebuilt several times over the years. It is 247 m long, about 9 m wide and has 16 arches. What a great experience! This is a footbridge with one end close to the Mezquita, where we started. I could stay there for hours.
