The most iconic symbol of Greece. These churches are a must-see when you're visiting this lovely island. It perfectly matches the blue-sky plus the wonderful caldera on the background. There's a lot of queue for taking pictures on this iconic trademark.
This is truly as magical and beautiful as you see in pictures. The white with blue against the backdrop of the sun sparkling on the Aegean Sea is perfect.

St. Spirion Church is a 600-year-old church on Corfu Island. The church is a landmark building in the entire Old Town. The high spire tower is the commanding height of the city. Standing on the tower overlooking the entire Old Town, it is very spectacular.

I just got back from a lovely trip to Corfu Old Town, and I can't stop raving about it! 🌅 The town is a UNESCO World Heritage site, and walking through its narrow cobblestone streets felt like stepping into a storybook. The architecture is a mix of Venetian, French, and British influences, making it truly unique. Exploring is free, but I did visit the Old Fortress for about 8 euros, and the views from the top are absolutely stunning!

I spent my days wandering through the charming alleyways, discovering quaint shops and local cafés. Don’t miss the Liston promenade for a coffee break—it's the perfect spot to people-watch ☕. The nearby Spianada Square is also beautiful, especially during sunset. 

If you have time, take a short drive to the Achilleion Palace; the entrance fee is around 12 euros, and it’s worth it for the beautiful gardens and history. Corfu Old Town has so much charm; I can’t wait to return!

Corfu has one of the best weather for beach destinations. Along with that it has a rich cultural heritage and natural landscape. The wines are especially well known and it always helps add some glitter to the holidays. 


Daytime the draws Corfu draws beach enthusiasts from far and wide, the type that offers something for everyone. Glyfada Beach, for instance, located on the island’s western coast, stretches beneath leafy bluffs. The beach, defined by its soft sands and turquoise waters, is a superb relaxation and sunbathing spot.

The offers some unique coastal charm as well, notably with its mostly pebble beaches, such as Faliraki Beach, adorning the historic waterfront. Here, you can soak in views of the Ionian Sea and the island’s eclectic architectural styles (Venetian, French, and British) simultaneously. And then there’s Paleokastritsa Bay, located along the northwest coast, renowned for its rugged cliffs and aquamarine waters. Paleokastritsa is made up of six smaller coves, with sand and pebbles, backed by olive groves and tall, bottle-green cypress trees. The idea of a secret beach is always a draw when it comes to seeking a beach with less people. Especially when you don't want to pay too much. Canal d' Amour Beach is one such famous  option in ‘secret’ beaches. It is located near the village of Sidari on Corfu Island.

The beach is surrounded by unusual sandstone formations that make a long, narrow channel to which it owes its name. "Canal d'amour" comes from a French navigator who found a similarity between the shape of this beach and the shape of a female sex organ. I know men who would plan a holiday here right after hearing that. But there's more to this beach getaway. 

Although, this stunning natural beach is quite small. But visitors also sunbathe on the adjacent rocks. On site there are sunbeds and umbrellas, while above a restaurant and a hotel. And guess what you're still in Greece, which means you've tons of beautiful islands and beaches anytime you want to move.  #beachlife #greece

The old town of Corfu was named as one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites and its history stretches back to the 8th century BC. 
It is definitely not a stretch to claim that it also boasts one of the best sunset view I have ever seen in my life. 
While the sun was slowly going down the horizon, I quickly took a dive into the sea. It was truly amazing to float on water and enjoy the sunset.
A moment later, street lights slowly lit up the old town and it became lively with diners and shoppers. We walked around to feel the amazing atmosphere. Everyone was just enjoying themselves and sharing the good time with their loved ones. #bucketlistreboot #passionpassport #greece #corfu #sunset

My visit to Corfu was a captivating experience. This island is distinguished by its natural beauty and picturesque beaches, making it an ideal place to relax.

I enjoyed wandering through the old town, which has a unique feel with its narrow alleys and historic buildings. I also visited beautiful beaches like Gili Beach and Kavos, where the water is clear and perfect for swimming.

I tasted traditional Greek dishes such as 'Souvlaki' and 'Moussaka,' which were rich and unique in flavor, making the dining experience truly delightful.

#seascapes Corfu’s coastline is a stunning blend of vibrant blue waters and ancient architecture. As I walked along the shore, the Ionian Sea stretched out in all its sapphire glory, meeting the horizon with a serene, endless beauty. The gentle waves and the warm Mediterranean sun created a peaceful atmosphere, perfectly complementing the nearby historical sites.

Just a short distance from the beach, the old town of Corfu revealed its rich history. Venetian-style buildings with colorful shutters stood proudly against the backdrop of the blue sky. Climbing to the top of the Old Fortress, I was rewarded with a breathtaking view—the deep blue sea merging with the sky, while the ancient stone walls glowed in the golden light of the setting sun. The harmony between the natural beauty and the island’s historic charm left a lasting impression.

Corfu is the second largest Ionian island ( which means you can't get bored there- so many things to see ) and the 'greenest' Greek island with lush vegetation and nearly 4 million olive-trees! 
The unique scent of citrus, ever-greens, palm, and olive-trees is one you can hardly find anywhere else.
Depending on what you like, there are rocky and pebbly beaches to the north and east, and beautiful sandy- beaches to the south and west of the island! (Glyfada on the west coast is the most popular sandy beach, especially with twentysomethings, lots of fun there...). Corfu is big enough for everyone to find their own piece of beach... so you'll have your privacy wherever you go!
I'd recommend you rent a private apartment rather than a hotel room, because they're much more private. Ours faced the sea, and it was nestled in the middle of an olive grove. The apartment with terrace, mini-kitchen and bathroom was in Barbati (a beautiful little village near Corfu town) We were able to save money by preparing meals at the apartment and even had romantic dinners on our terrace.
The place that left the strongest impression on us was Kassiopi, a town to the north-east, where we got our diver's certification. It's a really charming little town, with magnificent beaches, so many good restaurants and interesting (but not too noisy) night-life ... so you'll have everything you need there. If you want real noisy night-life the best place to go is Kavos on the south end of the island.
Corfu town (Kerkyra) definitely has the most attractions and stunning sights due to it's 2000 year history, and it's role today as capital city of the Ionian islands. It's an old city with little squares, old Venetian houses, marvelous churches. The many galleries and Italian-style cafes will leave you breathless! Two fortresses dating from the 15th century and the main city square known as Liston are the most popular tourist spots. But, Corfu town has no decent beaches, so Corfiots themselves go to other beaches near the city.
You can rent a scooter or a car for a reasonable price and explore the island yourself! You'd be surprised how many curiosities Corfu hides in every one of its nooks! Because of it's position Corfu has always been the target of the world's most known conquerors: Roman and Byzantine empires, Turks, Venetians, France and Great Britain. Each leaving a trace of their culture here, so it's not surprising that Corfu is often called 'Mediterranean little Europe'. From ancient temples, Byzantine churches, Venetian fortresses (there are still four of them) to the magnificent, residential buildings you would expect to see in Venice or Paris! The most fascinating was the palace of Austrian Empress Sissi dating from the 19. century. It's located in a little village of Gastouri, about 6 miles south from Corfu town. Words can hardly describe the beauty of this palace and it's paradise gardens. It's something you've got to see!!!

During my summer vacation, I had the chance to explore the Old Fortress of Corfu, and it was a fantastic experience! 🏰🌿 Located on the eastern side of Corfu Town, the fortress is easily accessible and offers stunning views of the Ionian Sea. The entrance fee was about €8, which felt like a bargain given the rich history and panoramic vistas.

Walking through the fortress, I was struck by its impressive architecture and the sense of history that permeates every corner. The well-preserved walls and the various exhibits, including historical cannons and old maps, provided a deep dive into Corfu’s past. The climb to the top of the fortress was well worth it for the breathtaking views of the city and coastline. 🌅🗺️

After exploring the fortress, I wandered around Corfu Town, which is full of charming streets, vibrant markets, and cozy cafés. I enjoyed a relaxing lunch at a local taverna where I tried some delicious Greek dishes. 🍽️🍇

The Old Fortress of Corfu is a must-see for anyone visiting the island, offering both historical intrigue and beautiful scenery.

Visiting Angsana Corfu Resort was a luxurious and relaxing experience 🌴. The resort is located on the beach and offers stunning views of the clear blue sea 🏖️. I enjoyed relaxing by the pool and dining at the upscale restaurant that served a variety of delicious dishes 🍽️. The water activities and spa were relaxing and made the stay even more special 💆♀️. The resort provides a quiet and ideal atmosphere for a fun and luxurious vacation.
