Da Nang's Local Temple Tour.. Banya Temple

Banya Temple (Chùa Bát Nhã) is located right in the bustling heart of Da Nang, yet it still retains its tranquility and solemnity. Unlike other temples, this temple is characterized by its white gate and was established in 1949 by Venerable Thich Tran. He created a statue of Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva for people to pray to, and this statue remains to this day. The temple has undergone several renovations due to war and material aging, with the last renovation taking place in 2004. Currently, Venerable Thich Truc Tinh is the abbot, and the temple regularly hosts Buddhist lectures and meditation programs. Especially during the year-end and festive periods, many people visit to pray for peace, and local police help maintain safety.
