Centennial City Sculpture Square The Centennial City Sculpture Square is located at the southernmost end of the north-south axis, covering an area of about 75,000 square meters. A huge book sculpture made of several meters of white flamed granite is located on the south side near the sea, which is also the highest point of Xinghai Square. From a distance, it looks like a wild goose spreading its wings. Bronze Footprint Relief, about 80 meters long, collects a thousand pairs of footprints from representatives of various ages and industries, symbolizing the continuous progress of the people of Dalian over the past century. The book-shaped sculpture and bronze footprint relief are both commemorative items for the 100th anniversary of the founding of Dalian.
