Yungang grottoes Datong Shanxi

This is the one of Buddha cave you must see in China .Comparing with Longmen grottoes in Luoyang I recommend this if you need to choose only one place . This 53 Buddha caves with many Buddha statues with beautiful color paintings. Coming here from Datong old town just only take local bus or pickup taxi . The cave open all year around and price is not so expensive .if you want to avoid group of Chinese tourists you need to come in early morning or late afternoon .
