I went to Datong just for this window. The hotels in Datong have reached the next level. The lobby has perfectly captured the beauty of wabi-sabi. It's right across from Huayan Temple and there's a food street right outside. Very convenient. The rooms are just average. It might be because it was the National Day holiday, but the price-performance ratio wasn't that high. If I had to choose again at this price, I would definitely choose the Yungang Hotel. Also, because you can check in for free, it's a bit noisy, but it doesn't affect the accommodation experience.
