Explore Maqiao Village in Dayi

I love the mountains and rivers of Dayi, especially the stone slab bridges built on the tributaries, the simple wooden bridges, and the various types of residences scattered at the foot of the mountains. They blend into the landscape, merging into the fresh green of spring. I found Maqiao Village on the map, a village located 4 kilometers along the tributary of the Chu River. Walking into this village-level highway, you just follow the tributary Maqiao Gully. After going uphill for 4 kilometers and climbing 150 meters, which takes about 2 hours, the mysterious Maqiao Village appears before your eyes. At the entrance of the village, there are old houses, well-preserved and still inhabited. Behind the village are new houses, which were just handed over last year, with beautiful and neat resettlement houses. Unexpectedly, in these remote deep mountains, such a village is hidden. Along the way, I saw a simple ancient bridge called Chongqing Bridge, which bears the inscription 'Built in the 32nd year of Emperor Guangxu's reign', leading me to speculate that this may prove the history of the village. The journey there is scenic, with unknown and interesting villages, and the round trip of more than three hours of light hiking is quite fun. Navigation: Dayi Yanghe Bie, park your car here.
