Tasty Chinese food in Dhaka

**Restaurant Review: Xinxian, Uttara, Dhaka - A Culinary Delight** As a seasoned food connoisseur, I recently had the pleasure of dining at Xinxian, a renowned restaurant located in the heart of Uttara, Dhaka. This establishment has been generating significant buzz in the local culinary scene, and I was eager to experience its offerings firsthand. In this review, I will provide a comprehensive assessment of my dining experience, covering ambiance, service, food quality, and overall value. **Ambiance (4.5/5)** Upon entering Xinxian, I was immediately struck by the restaurant's modern and sleek décor. The interior design exudes a sense of sophistication, with a predominantly black and gold color scheme, complemented by tasteful lighting and elegant furnishings. The ambiance is upscale yet inviting, making it an ideal setting for both business meetings and social gatherings. The only drawback is the relatively small seating area, which can lead to a slight feeling of congestion during peak hours. **Service (4.8/5)** The service at Xinxian is exceptional, with a team of attentive and knowledgeable staff who are eager to ensure a memorable dining experience. Our server, in particular, was courteous, friendly, and prompt in taking orders and addressing any queries. The staff's ability to provide recommendations and offer pairing suggestions for dishes and beverages was impressive, demonstrating a clear understanding of the menu and its offerings. **Food Quality (4.9/5)** The culinary experience at Xinxian is truly exceptional, with a diverse menu that showcases a range of Chinese, Japanese, and Southeast Asian dishes. We opted for a selection of appetizers, main courses, and desserts to sample the restaurant's offerings. The **Steamed Edamame** (BDT 350) was a delightful start to the meal, with the edamame cooked to perfection and seasoned with a hint of salt and pepper. The **Prawn Tempura** (BDT 800) was crispy and flavorful, with a light batter that complemented the succulent prawns. For our main courses, we chose the **Kung Pao Chicken** (BDT 1,200) and the **Grilled Salmon with Teriyaki Sauce** (BDT 1,800). The Kung Pao Chicken was a highlight of the meal, with tender chicken pieces cooked in a spicy Sichuan sauce, accompanied by crunchy peanuts and scallions. The Grilled Salmon was cooked to perfection, with a sweet and savory teriyaki sauce that complemented the fish beautifully. We concluded our meal with the **Mango Sticky Rice** (BDT 400) and the **Green Tea Ice Cream** (BDT 300). The Mango Sticky Rice was a refreshing and sweet dessert, with the sticky rice cooked to perfection and the mango ripe and juicy. The Green Tea Ice Cream was a unique and refreshing conclusion to the meal, with a subtle green tea flavor that was both soothing and invigorating. **Value (4.5/5)** While Xinxian is undoubtedly a premium dining establishment, the prices are reasonable considering the high quality of food and service.
