A Business Trip with Leisure in Dongguan, China

My recent business trip to Dongguan was a pleasant surprise. I stayed near Shanmei metro station in Houjie town, a beautiful area with a wide selection of hotels. The streets were lined with vendors offering delicious local Chinese food, perfect for a quick and tasty bite. While my trip was primarily for work, I managed to squeeze in some sightseeing. The Opium War Museum, Songshan Lake, and Keyuan were all fascinating and historically significant. Dongguan also boasts a vibrant nightlife scene with numerous nightclubs and bars. Throughout my stay, I was impressed by the friendliness and helpfulness of the locals. My hotel, Atour Hotel, deserves special recognition. The staff, especially Chen Minmin at the reception desk, were incredibly helpful despite the language barrier. They went above and beyond to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Overall, my trip to Dongguan offered a perfect blend of business and leisure. I highly recommend this destination to anyone looking for a unique and enriching experience in China.
