Dunedin, a city on New Zealand's South Island, is a quiet yet deeply charming place. Driving around in a rental car, each day felt like a movie. ⸻ Day 1 – Baldwin Street, Larnach Castle, Tunnel Beach, and Signal Hill at Night Our trip began with Baldwin Street, the world's steepest street. As we climbed the breathtakingly steep hill, we were able to take in the simple and peaceful townscape of Dunedin at a glance. Next, we headed to Larnach Castle, a beautiful castle perched on a hill. The tranquil gardens and the old castle ambiance felt like a fairytale. At Tunnel Beach, the waves crashing against the cliffs and the sunlight blended together to create a breathtaking scene. As the sun set, I climbed up to the Signal Hill lookout and ended the day by gazing at the sparkling nightscape of Dunedin. The city lights twinkled like stars, warming my heart. ⸻ Day 2 – Dunedin Railway Station, University of Otago, and Nugget Point My second morning began at Dunedin Railway Station. The European-style architecture was a work of art in itself, and every step I took on the platform felt like a scene from a movie. The University of Otago campus was quiet and peaceful, making it a great place for a leisurely stroll. It was a wonderfully warm moment to sit on the lawn and feel the breeze. Nugget Point, on the other hand, was a sight to behold: the strong winds, waves, and white lighthouse. ⸻ On the way to Queenstown On the way to Queenstown in a rental car, the lush green meadows and cloud-capped mountains stretched out before my window, like a painting. Amidst the quietly flowing scenery, it was a moment when I deeply felt the true joy of travel. ⸻ My trip to Dunedin was short, but one that will remain in my memory for a long time.
