The sand of the black beach is actually granular volcanic lava. These lava granules are pure without any impurities or silt dust, making them highly permeable. The waves that hit the beach become unpredictable, and it's easy to get wet if you're not careful. The basalt columnar formations and sea caves on the black beach also greatly enhance its charm. The rocks have been eroded by the sea over the years, presenting irregular columnar shapes, which are very spectacular.
