Experience the Pyramids of Egypt Up Close!

Embarking on a journey to the African continent to delve deeper into ancient Egyptian history, we prepared by watching documentaries and taking notes. However, the awe of standing before the pyramids far surpasses anything a textbook can convey. We were fortunate to be among the first to enter the pyramids at dawn, greeted by the sunrise and the sight of camels before the crowds arrived. Despite Cairo's high temperatures in August, a gentle breeze made the experience pleasant. If your budget allows, consider staying at the Mina Palace for an exclusive pyramid view breakfast at dawn. After breakfast, it's a 5-minute walk to the north gate of the pyramids to start your tour. 🎫 Tickets cost 540 EGP for adults and 270 EGP for students, with no cash payments accepted. Additional tickets are required for entry inside the pyramids. Suggested tour route (map on the last page): North Gate ➡️ Khufu ➡️ Khafre ➡️ Menkaure ➡️ 6/9 Pyramid Viewpoint ➡️ Sphinx ➡️ Exit via South Gate/Return to Mina Palace via North Gate. If not staying at Mina Palace, consider dining at these two viewing restaurants: 1⃣️ Khufu’s Restaurant near the Great Pyramid offers breakfast and brunch options. Reservations are required online for this close-up pyramid view restaurant. 2⃣️ 9 Pyramids Lounge offers a distant view of the pyramids and is close to the panoramic view. Reservations are required by phone or online.
