Exploring the Giza Pyramids in Cairo

Upon arriving in Cairo, we headed straight to the iconic Giza Pyramid Complex the next day. This site includes the Sphinx and the Great Pyramid of Khufu, as shown in image 12. Simply tell the taxi driver to take you to the north gate to buy tickets, then follow the route in the image to explore all the way to the south gate. The area is vast, and completing one route is about 6 to 7 kilometers, so a horse-drawn carriage is necessary. Our group of four hired two carriages because we wanted to visit a café with views of six pyramids (position 5 in image 12), named 9 Pyramids Lounge. We negotiated a price of 300 Egyptian pounds per carriage. One driver was very nice, while the other was not, demanding extra money at each stop. By the time we reached position 4 in image 12, he asked for an additional 300 Egyptian pounds. We paid the unpleasant driver and squeezed all four of us into the nice driver's carriage, who took us to the café for 300 Egyptian pounds. The café was very crowded, and since we had called ahead to make a reservation, it was already full. We ended up sitting on a dirt mound below and ordered a few drinks (image 8, position 14). However, the mound was also a great spot for photos. After about an hour, we finished our coffee and took some pictures. The nice driver was waiting for us at the entrance, and we agreed on 500 Egyptian pounds to take us to the Sphinx and the exit.
