Hubei Enshi | Enshi Tusi City | Hubei's "Little Forbidden City"

The largest and most magnificent Tusi culture landmark project in China, it recreates the political, economic, and cultural aspects of the Tusi period in the Tujia ethnic region. As a 4A-level scenic spot, Tusi City is built along the mountainside. Its main attractions include the Dong Wind and Rain Bridge, Linjun Temple, Bell Tower, Drum Tower, Beacon Tower, and the Nine-Hall Palace. The Nine-Hall Palace is the most impressive, offering great photo opportunities. The TV drama "Blood Oath" was also filmed here. Enshi Tusi City is located on Tusi Road in the northwest of Enshi City, only 500 meters from the city government. Its prime location, nestled between mountains and waters, provides a beautiful natural environment and serves as a concentrated display of Tujia culture. Entering Tusi City, you'll experience a magical journey through time, as if returning to the era of Tusi rule. The city gate tower, standing 25 meters tall and 12 meters wide, is a wooden structure built using mortise and tenon joints. It's grand and impressive, with exquisite carvings showcasing the superb craftsmanship of Tujia artisans. There's a Great Wall-like staircase leading up the mountain. 2⃣From the top, you can take aerial photos of the Nine-Hall Palace! Then tour from top to bottom, avoiding tour groups coming up from below👍 3⃣There are Tujia performances at the entrance of the Nine-Hall Palace, including the interactive Waving Dance. Photo Tips: 1⃣Highly recommend renting a Tujia costume for CNY 20 if you love taking photos. As Tusi City is mostly gray, blue or red costumes will stand out in pictures. 2⃣The first shop on the left at the entrance of the Nine-Hall Palace (run by a man and a woman) is excellent. CNY 20 for unlimited time, and they even offer free earrings. 3⃣Both Tujia and Miao costumes are available here, mainly differing in the hats. Navigate to the South Gate parking lot‼ The East Gate is under maintenance and cannot be used for parking. CNY 5 for up to 4 hours, additional CNY 5 for every 4 hours thereafter. 3.
