Estonia, one of the three Baltic states, is known for its cool and aloof Nordic-like temperament. If your schedule is tight, then the capital of Estonia, Tallinn, is a must-visit. The old town can be easily explored in just one day. ✅ Travel Route: 🍯 Kohtuotsa Popular Wall: The phrase 'THE TIMES WE HAD' on the wall has become a symbolic scenery of Tallinn. It reminds us that what we once thought we had never truly belonged to us, and what we can truly possess is time itself. 🍯 Patkuli Viewing Platform: Another excellent spot to enjoy a panoramic view of the old town, with breathtaking scenery. 🍯 Tallinn Town Hall Square: The old square is the liveliest place in Tallinn, and the town hall is also worth a visit. The tower next to it offers a bird's-eye view of the entire old town. 🍯 St. Catherine's Passage: A small alley full of artistic atmosphere, with artist shops and taverns, as well as broken tombstones hanging on the outer wall of the church. 🍯 Viru Gate: The entrance to Tallinn's old town. Passing through this gate feels like leaving the modern city and stepping into the old town filled with cobblestone streets and alleys. 🍯 Alexander Nevsky Cathedral: A beautiful Orthodox church left from the period of Russian dominance, witnessing Estonia's history of being ruled by Russia. ✅ Restaurant Recommendations: 🍯 Olde Hansa: This restaurant is located next to the old square and is famous for its honey beer and rose pudding. The waiters are dressed in medieval costumes, making you feel like you've traveled through time. The restaurant also has live music. Sitting in the outdoor seating, enjoying honey beer, and watching passersby is a very unique experience. 🍯 Restaurant 16/Vike: Possibly one of the most popular restaurants in Tallinn, reservations for weekends need to be made a month in advance. However, there are two outdoor seats that do not require reservations, so you can try your luck. We eventually tasted the same delicious food at the sister restaurant Vike. Despite the difficulty in booking, we still enjoyed a delicious meal on the day.
