Tianyang Village in Fenghua, Ningbo, is known as the poetic idyll described by Tao Yuanming, with its beautiful scenery

There is a wonderful place in the southern part of Fenghua District, Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province, which is just like the poetic idyll described by Tao Yuanming. The village has clear streams, ancient temples, green mountains, and peach blossoms, which are so beautiful that they make people linger and forget to return. The village is located in the plain between Dagang Mountain and Wuyaguan Mountain in Fenghua District, so it is called the center of Tianfan, and now everyone simply calls it Tianyang. On the road to the village, there is a tall bluestone archway with golden couplets written on it, which feels very cultural. Passing through this archway, there is a small archway made of blue bricks and black tiles on the roadside, which also has Tao Yuanming's 'Returning to My Farm' on it, really looking forward to the beautiful scenery inside! But don't rush, although the houses in the village are neat and uniform, they are all brand new, and you can feel the modern atmosphere of this ancient village. Continuing into the village, you will see a long stream to the south, winding around, almost encircling most of Tianyang Village. There is a wide and flat village road by the stream, shaded by ancient trees, which is suitable for walking and can also be used as a small square, really comfortable! There is also a stone bridge over the stream, and after crossing the bridge, there is a newly built temple. The temple has wooden doors and walls, black-tiled carved windows, blue brick walls, ancient trees by the stream, and green mountains behind it, which is both classical and quiet. Next to Tianyang Village, there is another village called Yangqiao Village, which has many ancient houses arranged in a scattered manner, forming many narrow alleys. In the alley, there is an old persimmon tree, covered with bright red persimmons, which is really beautiful! Historically, Yangqiao Village and Tianyang Village developed together. During the Xuande period of the Ming Dynasty, Wang Chongde Gong moved from Lianshan Xiaowan Bamboo to Quchi Village (Wangjia Chitou) to live, and soon developed into a large village. Due to the prosperity of the population, Wangjia Chitou could not accommodate everyone, so they dispersed to live around. Chongde Gong's east room had four sons, namely the four rooms of Xiao, Di, Zhong, and Xin. Among them, Di moved to Yangjia Chi to live, which is now Yangqiao Village; Zhong moved to the center of Tianfan, which is now Tianyang Village. Finally, let me tell you, although the Peach Blossom Garden and the small park separated by a stream are very small, the green trees are lush and the scenery is super great! You must go and see it!
