Shangyue Ancient Town, a beautiful village forgotten among the green mountains and rivers

Recommended for ancient village tourism: Shangyue Village is an ancient village with a history of 720 years. It was founded in the Song Dynasty and reached its peak in the Qing Dynasty. The 108 ancient houses in the village are hidden among the citrus trees, with the layout of the front pond and the back mountain, implying the meaning of wind and water. In the late Southern Song Dynasty, Zhu Wenhuan, the founder of the Zhu family, resisted the Yuan soldiers and escorted the Southern Song emperor to escape to the North River Goldfish Nook, but unfortunately died. His son chose to settle in Shangyue Village during the chaos of war, and has lived here ever since. Today, most of the villagers living here are the 32nd generation descendants of Zhu Wenhuan, a famous general of the Southern Song Dynasty, with a population of nearly 10,000.
