The Waldorf Astoria in Xiamen truly captures the romantic atmosphere of 520

After an unexpected incident, I decided to travel to Xiamen. For me, the place where I stay during a trip is very important. I specifically booked the Waldorf Astoria in Xiamen for the day of 520. The style and design seen in the photos online were indeed very appealing to me. The actual experience was great, and the service was quite on point. The hotel is located in the city center, so the view is just average. It's quite different from the sea views offered by its sister hotel, the Conrad. But in terms of design and luxury, it really hits the mark. Staying here for at least one day during a trip, I think, is of great value. The rooms come in two styles: one with a tea and orange-red color scheme, and another with a greenish style, each with its own advantages. Our room was on a higher floor, arranged on the 31st floor this time. Despite the rain, the city view from the window was still quite nice. They also made some preparations for the special holiday, creating a full atmosphere. The signature Waldorf Astoria red velvet cake🍓 was rich in ingredients. It wasn't too sweet; instead, it had a rich fruity aroma that was delicious. Accompanied by a bottle of sweet sparkling wine, it was truly comfortable. The hotel has been open for about four years, so the rooms appear very new and bright. It has all the amenities one would expect, and there's not much to nitpick. The coffee machine and smart toilet are standard, which are bonus points. The lack of a standard Dyson hairdryer might be a slight shortcoming. At the lobby bar on the 5th floor, I enjoyed a happy hour dinner. Although it was quite simple, the quality of the food was not compromised at all. Paired with some drinks, the meal was just right. The breakfast on the 6th floor is a must-have; the restaurant environment is too good.
