Gardner Memorial Hall.

Gulangyu, once known as one of the "four major summer resorts in China", had 366 distinctive villas built from 1886 to 1935. Of course, many of them have been lost, leaving only some documents. Today we are visiting the Gardner Memorial Hall. The Gardner Memorial Hall is located at No. 115, Yixia Village, Liangcuo. It was once the residence of Ni Xisheng and the residence of two principals of Fujian Union University, Zhuang Caiwei and Xu Guangrong. It was built in the late Qing Dynasty and covers an area of 133 square meters. The outer ring is a large corridor, used for gatherings and parties. Milton Gardner's father, Jia Gaozhi, was the person in charge of the Hanmei School in Shaowu City, Nanping.
