Fuzhou Wuyi Square is located at No. 32 Gutian Road, Gulou District, Fuzhou City, Fujian Province. It was once the South Drill Ground for military training in the Qing Dynasty, and was converted into a public stadium in the Republic of China. It was rebuilt in the 1970s, and a viewing platform was built at the foot of Yushan Mountain, making it a modern political and cultural square integrating leisure and political and cultural activities. On the eve of May 1, 1970, the reconstruction of the square was completed and it was named Wuyi Square. After the reconstruction, Wuyi Square became a venue for large-scale political and cultural gatherings in Fuzhou. Due to its special geographical location and historical reasons, it has become the irreplaceable heart of Fuzhou in the hearts of Fuzhou people. To the north of the square is Yushantang, an important place for the municipal party committee and municipal government to hold receptions and other foreign affairs. To the east are large landmark buildings such as the Provincial Science and Technology Museum, the Telecom Hub Building, and Yuanhong Garden. To the south is the Provincial Gymnasium, and to the west is the Fuzhou People's Hall. Wuyi Square has become the political and cultural center of Fuzhou City, an important place for citizens' leisure activities, and the flag-raising ceremony for New Year's Day and National Day is held here every year. It is one of the important windows for the construction of spiritual civilization in Fuzhou. In the middle of the square, there is a musical fountain, and a group of white sculptures in the pool, 8 dancing girls 5 meters high, implying that the daughters of Bamin live happily in Bamin.
