San Guan Summit is also known as the 'Guangdong's Little Switzerland' or the western Guangdong version of 'Little Wugong Mountain'. In summer, the forest is lush, the grass is continuous, there are many streams, herds of cattle and sheep, and piles of strange rocks! You always have to hike to the top to see the scenery for yourself. The moment the cell phone signal disappears, I seem to find myself again - casual and free, hiking on the summit overlooking the endless high mountain meadows, watching the sunrise over the sea of clouds, and every visit is stunning! It's perfect for a weekend getaway, to breathe some fresh air, and take some photos. 📍Location: Niuche Ping, Gaozhou City, Maoming, Guangdong Province (You can drive to the parking lot above, which is also the starting point for the hike up the mountain) 🚶🏻‍♂️‍➡️Hiking route: Dawudi-Daqiaoding-Wahuangbao-San Guan Summit-Niuche Ping ⏰Total time: The whole journey is 13.8 kilometers, it took us almost 8 hours for our first night climb 【Route Difficulty】 From the parking lot at Niuche Ping, follow the uphill road on the left to the first meadow plateau, which is a farm road with a gentle slope and no scenery, which can be quite boring. There are many stones on the road, so watch your step (about 2.5 kilometers on foot, taking 1.5 hours) • From the meadow plateau, keep left and follow the ridge line of the meadow all the way up, and after about five mountain tops, you'll reach 'San Guan Summit'. This stretch of high mountain meadows is truly comparable to Wugong Mountain 【San Guan Mountain Scenery】 1️⃣High mountain meadows: Within the province of Guangdong, only the high mountain meadows of 'San Guan Mountain' can compare with Wugong Mountain 2️⃣Starry sky: San Guan Mountain is remote and pristine, with few light sources nearby, so on clear nights, you can usually see a sky full of stars. In this season, you can also lie on the grass to watch the starry sky without feeling cold 3️⃣Sunrise: The sunrise at San Guan Mountain is unique; you can watch the dawn break until the sun rises. Many places do not have the opportunity to see the dawn of sunrise (the sunrise time in summer starts at 5 am and the sun is completely out by 6 am). The best spot to watch the sunrise is at San Guan Summit or the mountain top before reaching San Guan Summit. You can't see it from other places on the mountain 〇Mountain Climbing Tips ①It is best to start climbing the mountain between 2:30-3:00 am, just in time for the sunrise at the summit ②Check the weather before you set off, and quickly descend if you encounter rain or thunderstorms ③There are many water buffaloes on the mountain, so do not wear red clothes or flaunt yourself within the sight of the buffaloes.
