Oedo is a small island located off the sotuh coast of Geoje city. It is a marine western-style botanical garden with lush greenary, beautiful flowers, monuments in Hallyeohaesang National Park, overlooking the magnificant sea. It is also the first island in South Korea to be owned and developed privately. There is a walk path laid out from the dock through and around the gardens that you can follow and get to see all of the grounds and the views of Geoje. There is also a pavilion that looks something like a showcase of Greek statues. Places of interest include the Venus Garden, the Cactus Garden and the Stairway to Heaven. The walk takes approximately two hours to complete so do wear appropriate footwear and wear lightly coloured attire. Bring along sunglasses, wind breaker and drinking water too. So many locations for great instagram worthy shots. There is a cafe pitstop at the top of the park for visitors to take a rest before heading back down to the port for the ferry back to Geoje.
