Chinese Inspired Restaurant and Bar in Penang

#malaysiatrip 📍Zai San Bei Restaurant & Bar, Upper Georgetown, Penang Recently visited this Chinese restaurant and bar that is strategically located in the heart of Penang island. The restaurant is huge with plenty of seatings and tables, is able to accommodate larger groups of patrons. Love the Chinese inspired decor in store, which was bold fancy and very instagrammable! The restaurant and bar was pretty quiet during our visit in the afternoon and was really busy at night. As it is more of a bar than a restaurant, the food selection was quite limited. We ordered some of their signature like mala shrimp paste balls, dumplings fried fish which were all really good! Especially love their mala shrimp paste balls which was of the right spiciness and made it a great pairing with steamed rice. Parking was challenging, but we managed to grab a spot nearby. Would love to revisit again at night!
