Chase after that brave heart: the Scottish Highlands!

►Scotland is divided into highlands and lowlands geographically. If you want to see the real Scotland and trace the source of its national spirit, you have to go to the northern highlands region! Many travel magazines have called the Scottish Highlands one of the most beautiful scenic areas in Europe! It has not yet been polluted by modern civilization. The hills and wilderness of the Highlands are waiting for people to savor. ►Depart from Edinburgh for a one-day tour, visiting almost all the essential scenic spots in the Scottish Highlands. The specific route is as follows: Stirling Castle - Cairngorms National Park - Glen Coe - Loch Lomond - Ben Nevis - Fort William - Auchterarder - Caledonian Canal - Loch Ness - Eilean Donan Castle - Grampian Mountains - Perthshire Forests in Central Scotland - Forth Bridge ►Stirling Castle Departing from Edinburgh, not long after, we saw the Stirling Castle standing tall in the wilderness from afar! This was once the palace of the Scottish kings. Scottish Queen Mary and James VI lived here. It witnessed many wars and historical movements in Scottish history. In the movie "Braveheart", the protagonist William Wallace commanded a 7,000-strong army to defeat 20,000 English cavalry in the outskirts of Stirling. This was one of the two most important battles in Scottish independence history! ►Glencoe Valley At first sight of this most famous and largest canyon in Scotland, it shook my heart! The wild grass covers the mountains and fields, lakes run through them, creating an indescribable rugged, lonely, and romantic natural beauty! At the entrance of the canyon, the scenery of the Three Sisters mountains is the most magnificent, with steep ridges towering above the horizon. ►Fort William town Fort William is located next to Loch Linnhe and is the gateway town to the Scottish Highlands and many islands in the north, known as the "Gateway to the Highlands". Whether climbing Ben Nevis, hiking Glen Coe, or visiting Loch Ness and Skye Island, Fort William is an important stop that attracts a large number of hikers and climbers every year. ►Loch Ness Loch Ness is part of the Caledonian Canal, which crosses the Scottish Highlands and connects the Atlantic Ocean and the North Sea. It is the third largest freshwater lake in the UK. The bus stops here for 2 hours for free activities, or you can choose to take the Jacobite loch cruise to enjoy the scenery of Loch Ness on the water and visit Urquhart Castle, which is located on the lake. ►Pitlochry Town As evening approached, the bus arrived at Pitelohri, a small town with a permanent population of only 2,500, the last stop of the day's itinerary. I love the tranquility of this small town and its clean streets. If I could spend a night in one of these quaint houses, I'm sure the experience would be wonderful! In front of a certain household's door, their roses and flowers are loved. The owner who can decorate their house like this must be full of love!

Glen Coe

Glencoe is on the western side of scottish highland and lies in a steep-sided glenco valley. Our journey from Oban is around 60 kilometers 50 minutes drive, if taking public, you can take either bus or train to Fort Willam then transfer to Glencoe. The area is known for waterfalls and trails that climb peaks. Glencoe is the site of the infamous massacre of the MacDonalds in 1692. During summer mountain biking and hiking and numbers of outdoor activities as well.
