I can't believe some people still don't know about this free guide to Qinghai Lake.

We drove from Chengdu to the northwest and went straight to Qinghai Lake. I read a lot of guides saying that Erlangjian Scenic Area is a bit of a scam. ⚠️⚠️⚠️ Tickets for Erlangjian Scenic Area 🎫 CNY 90/person, and boat tickets are CNY 180/person. If you want to go to Erlang Peninsula, you need to take a small train for CNY 120/person or a boat for CNY 140/person. So we decided not to go to the scenic area, which is crowded and charges fees. 📍Nanshan Viewing Platform (🎫 Ticket: Free) On the way to Qinghai Lake, we passed Nanshan Viewing Platform and parked directly 🅿️. You can see Qinghai Lake from a distance, which is very impressive. If you have a drone, you can get a picture like this. Of course, you can also take beautiful photos with your phone. Compared with the monotonous lake water, the grassland and blue sky add a different flavor. 📍Heimahe Scenic Area (🎫 Ticket: Free, Shuttle Bus: CNY 30/person) From Nanshan Viewing Platform, you can drive down to Erlangjian Scenic Area. We skipped it and drove along Daohu Tea Road along the lake to Heimahe Scenic Area. There were many cars when we passed by (we didn't go there due to time constraints). 📍Donggeer Viewing Platform (🎫 Ticket: Free) From Heimahe Scenic Area, you can continue to drive to Huanhu West Road, which is less crowded and has beautiful lake views. You can occasionally see parking bays on the road, where you can park 📷 and take photos. You can take photos along the way to Donggeer Viewing Platform. The plank road is beautifully built, and you can see seagulls. It is also a viewing platform for Huang fish (but we didn't see any). There are two parking lots, one is a concrete parking lot, which is a little far from the viewing platform. The other parking lot is opposite the viewing platform, but it is a gravel road. You can choose by yourself. ❤️Qinghai Lake is large and beautiful, but it is windy by the lake. You can bring a hat 🧢 to protect yourself from the wind and prevent altitude sickness.
