Check-in at Sun Wu Temple in Dongying!!! Sun Wu Temple is located in the northwest of Guangrao County, Shandong Province, covering an area of more than 7,000 square meters. The temple is centered around the main hall of the Southern Song Dynasty Guan Yu Temple, a national key cultural relic protection unit, and includes four quadrangles that blend ancient and modern architectural styles in a Song Dynasty imitation style. In the center of the courtyard stands a 3-meter-high white marble statue of Sun Wu, wearing a sword and holding a military book, with his head held high and eyes looking into the distance. The side rooms on both sides are ancient-style buildings with rolled-up eaves. The south and north courtyards are connected by a Song Dynasty imitation gate with a resting hill style. The Southern Song Dynasty main hall is located in the northwest corner of Guangrao County, built in the second year of the Jianyan period of the Southern Song Dynasty, originally as the 'Guan Yu Temple.' The original temple site was more than 130 meters long from north to south and 76 meters wide from east to west, with buildings such as the Spring and Autumn Pavilion, the Three Righteousness Hall, the Opera Tower, and the east and west side rooms. Currently, only the main hall remains, which is the main part of the Guan Yu Temple. This main hall retains the unique style of Song Dynasty architecture and is a valuable resource for studying the wooden structures of China's medieval period. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, this main hall has been repaired twice and is a national key cultural relic protection unit. Sun Wu Temple is a typical classical northern courtyard, with a strict and orderly layout. The main gate faces south, and is a hip-and-gable roof structure. Inside the main gate is the south courtyard of Sun Wu Temple, where there is an inscription inside the mountain gate, written by the famous Chinese historical geographer Zhou Weiyan. It is titled 'A Brief Examination of Sun Wu's Hometown,' and based on records from 'Records of the Grand Historian,' 'Zizhi Tongjian,' 'Taiping Guangji,' and other classics, as well as investigations and verifications by experts and scholars, it is determined that Sun Wu's hometown was in the ancient city of Le'an in the State of Qi, which is today's Guangrao County, 'The Art of War for a thousand years, glory to the hometown.'
