The Ritz-Carlton hotel that even Shangri-La cannot surpass.

The highest-end hotel brand in the Marriott hotel system; unbeatable exotic atmosphere; extremely gorgeous interior decoration; rare hall-style layout in the luxurious hotel lobby. In the past few decades, there have been more and more hotels in large hotels that highlight Eastern elements or Eastern aesthetics. Those known domestically early on include Guangzhou China Hotel, Guangzhou Garden Hotel, Guangzhou White Swan Hotel, Macau Grand Lisboa Hotel, Foshan Grand Mercure Hotel, Hong Kong The Peninsula Hotel, Guangzhou The Ritz-Carlton Hotel, and Shangri-La Hotel. Later, the equally internationally renowned Mandarin Oriental Hotel entered the mainland from Hong Kong. With the successful development of Shanghai Xintiandi and Foshan Lingnan Tiandi by Hong Kong Rui'an Real Estate Company as community shopping centers featuring characteristic architectural groups as shops, in the past decade, a large number of domestic or foreign brand hotels have followed suit, all taking Chinese local culture as their theme. For example, Guangzhou Kempinski Hotel, Guangzhou Rongchuang Shibaoge Hotel, Guangzhou Conrad Hotel, and Guangzhou Fuli Jun Yue Hotel. The so-called Lingnan style concept has been overused by various high-end or low-end hotels, commercial streets, and shopping malls. Similarly, logos with fish and ocean as the theme or decorations with wood art as the core also frequently appear in Hilton or Hyatt hotels without surprise. Fortunately, in Guangzhou, there is still a foreign luxury five-star hotel that is faithful to the brand's original cultural background and positioning, and guests won't guess the wall and hanging decorations inside just by standing at the entrance. That is the Guangzhou Ritz-Carlton Hotel under the name of the Evergrande Group. It's a good hotel, but its popularity is relatively low in China. Compared to the luxurious decoration of the Shangri-La, it can be said to be only high and not low, but it excels in details. If you look closely at Figure 7 and Figure 8, such animal shapes are definitely not elements in Eastern culture. They are quite similar to the griffins in the famous game company's game "Heroes of Might and Magic" which were originally designed based on ancient Greek mythology. The last attached picture is also an example. Public restrooms are so beautiful, and there is a handwashing sink like this at each end of a men's restroom. In Hong Kong, Macau, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen, only The Ritz-Carlton probably has such luxury. The lobby for check-in at luxury hotels nowadays is mostly located on the ground floor, with a few exceptions on higher floors, but the common feature is occupying a large space on a whole floor to express a grand feeling with an open floor plan. However, this hotel adopts a very rare small hall layout, which may seem difficult to understand but is conducive to customers appreciating the details of the hotel. Thinking outside the box leads to great results, after all, the hotel has spent a lot of money on decoration.
