The statue of Guanyin looking out to sea is located in the Guanyin Holy Land of the Lotus Mountain Scenic Area in Panyu District, Guangzhou City. Here is an introduction to the Guanyin Holy Land: In the Guanyin Holy Land, there is a straight and wide pilgrimage avenue that extends from the base of the Lotus Tower to the east, all the way to the mountainside facing the Lion Sea. Trees on both sides are neatly arranged, forming a formation. At the end of the avenue is a square paved with bluestone. In the center of the square, the kind-faced and benevolent statue of Guanyin looking out to sea, dazzling with golden light, stands on a two-tiered lotus throne. The Guanyin looking out to sea was initiated by Mr. Ho Hau Wah from Macau, with the assistance of the Ho Yin Social Welfare Foundation and people from all walks of life. It was completed and consecrated on October 23, 1994. The statue is 40.88 meters high, cast with 120 tons of bronze, and covered with 180 taels of pure gold, making it the world's largest gilded bronze Guanyin statue.
