Don’t miss this charming Water Town when visiting Guangzhou!

Under an hour’s drive from central Guangzhou is Xiaozhou village, or Lingnan Water Town. This is an incredibly charming cluster of small streets along a network of waterways with hundreds of small bridges, hundred year old trees and buildings built of oyster shells. Among the tiny streets are a number of specialty coffee shops and places to eat, but despite this the area feels remarkably calm and untouched. Don’t miss the 500 year old oyster shell houses and the ancient ancestral halls. 📍Address: Xiaozhoucun, Haizhu, Guangzhou 💞Reasons to Recommend: unique and charming, good for taking photos and people-watching I used e-hailing to get here from central Guangzhou and it was very reasonable!
