Hidden treasure in Pazhou - Executive Lounge.

I was in Guangzhou a few days ago and checked in at the Langham Place, Guangzhou, which is part of the Langham Group. This is my first time staying at a Langham hotel. Location: About a 10-minute walk from Xingangdong Metro Station. It's convenient to get to the Canton Tower. The hotel offers a free shuttle bus to Chimelong. Overall, it's a bit out of the way if you want to explore downtown Guangzhou. Service: The concierge service at the entrance of the hotel needs to be improved. The service at the executive lounge is excellent. They recognized me the first time I went there and I didn't need to tell them my room number after that. The service during breakfast was just average when it was crowded, but that's understandable. Facilities: The hotel is well-maintained and nicely decorated. I recommend choosing a room facing north so you can see the Pearl River. The view is much better than the south side. The south side is quite desolate. If you're afraid of heights, don't look down from the 22nd floor (the lounge is on this floor, which is also the top floor of the hotel). Dining: The happy hour at the lounge doesn't offer a lot of options but the quality is good. The cold chicken breast is not tough at all. I was very impressed. You can take as many VOSS water bottles as you want from the fridge. They're very generous. Breakfast is served at the restaurant. The lounge doesn't serve breakfast. There are many options but the quality is just average. I was disappointed. The egg rolls and fried eggs were overcooked. I didn't want to eat them at all. Overall, the breakfast was the worst part of my stay. Fitness Center: There are dry and wet saunas and a hot tub. The 25-meter heated pool is okay for swimming. The gym is well-equipped. It's pretty good. Additional Comments: The executive lounge at the hotel is quite private. There aren't many guests, especially children. It's quite rare for a luxury hotel. Overall, I had a comfortable stay. I was pleasantly surprised. I highly recommend the lounge at this hotel.
